Your news and views from around the world of content marketing

Hi , I hope you're having a great week.

There's now under a month until our next Content Breakfast event, which looks at the podcast industry. You’ll hear from award-winning podcast producers who will update us on the current state of the industry, as well as talk through how you can monetise your branded podcast. Tickets are incredibly limited to this event - so be sure to book early as this will sell out soon.

This latest edition of Content Weekly also includes a feature from a new member of the CMA, Sticky, as they focus on why tone of voice is more important now than ever before.

Lastly, we have an update on our B2B Summit. This will take place in London on June 6th and members of the CMA are currently being offered tickets, with early bird tickets launching next week. This will be a chance to secure the best price ahead of us announcing the lineup later in the month.

🗞️ CONTENT BREAKFAST: THE POWER OF PODCAST

Join us for our second Content Breakfast of the year where we dive into the world of podcasting and unveil its transformative power. Whether you’re a seasoned podcaster, an aspiring presenter, or simply curious about what this medium can do for your brand, our panel will help provide a gateway to unlocking these possibilities.

Our Content Breakfast Speakers

  • Kobi Omenaka | Podcast Consultant, Stripped Media

  • Niall O’Rourke | Content Lead, The National Lottery/Allwyn UK

  • Adam Gibson | Brand Partnerships Director, Acast

  • Adam Shepherd | Head of Podcasts, Haymarket Media Group

In this session you’ll discover why podcasting is one of the most effective tools for building a loyal audience. You’ll hear from the people behind the podcast that won silver at last year’s International Content Marketing Awards, as well as podcast experts providing an in-depth look at the industry, as well as providing information on how to monetise your branded podcast.

🗞️ WHY TONE OF VOICE MATTERS NOW MORE THAN EVER

In a content landscape increasingly packed with generic blah, standing out from the crowd can give you an even greater edge. Here’s how a strong, consistent tone of voice helps set you apart from your competitors – and much, much more.

Authenticity and originality matter. No one wants to sound exactly like everyone else. And that’s especially true when it comes to content.

Having your own voice has always been vital for creating content with impact, but its importance is becoming even clearer with the advent of generative AI. Now the initial enthusiasm is wearing off, companies can see that relying on universal large language models alone produces content that’s pretty much the same as everything else out there. That’s why companies like Microsoft are experimenting with training AI models in their own brand voice.

🗞️ A GUIDE TO B2B CONTENT MARKETING

Tickets for our 2024 B2B Summit go on sale next week, so we look back at last year’s event, and creating a guide to B2B content marketing.

Unlike traditional advertising, B2B content marketing focuses on building long-term relationships with potential customers by providing them with insightful and educational content.

This approach allows businesses to be seen as experts in their field and to demonstrate their understanding of their customers’ needs and challenges. B2B content marketing can take many forms, including blog posts, white papers, case studies, webinars, and podcasts.
