Our latest edition of Content Weekly has news of our first Content Breakfast of 2024, as well as a feature from CMA members, SJR, on the role of the B2B CMO.
I’d also like to provide an update for those of you who won a trophy at our International Content Marketing Awards. 🗞️ CONTENT BREAKFAST: DISCOVERING THE POWER OF SEO IN CONTENT MARKETING
Join us for the first Content Breakfast of the year, looking at the ever-growing dynamic relationship between Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Content Marketing.
After asking what events you’d like to see in 2024, you voted and SEO came out on top. So in this event, we’ll have three award winning content marketing experts who’ll talk about strategies, trends, and best practices that can elevate your content in search engine rankings and audience engagement, whilst keeping your content fresh and interesting to your audience.
🗞️ THE MANY HATS OF THE B2B CMO
Half a century ago, marketing didn’t command a C-suite title. Today, the role of CMO is ever-expanding and includes leading multi-functional teams and aligning across organizations on priorities. In fact, there is nothing that marketing doesn’t touch.
At WPP’s recent B2B summit in New York City, a group of CMOs from global tech and consulting brands reflected on their changing roles. Kristin Gower, Global President, B2B, EssenceMediacom, suggested that a modern Chief Marketing Officer is perhaps more accurately described as a Chief Growth Orchestrator. They are expected to deliver tangible business outcomes while maintaining challenging budgets and helming and coordinating a multi-functional growth engine within their larger organisations.
🗞️ CREATIVE SHOOTOUT 2024
The Creative Shootout is the UK’s leading done in a day creative-for-good awards, that tests the mettle of the UK’s best creative agencies on a real brief from a Charity of the Year.
Finalists for the Live Final, held at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly on 25th January 2024, have now been announced.
The winning and celebrated agency then goes on to stage their campaign for the charity later in the year, supported by a prize fund and a range of significant media partners.
